To treat fans of the original student-model-offset, Fender offer a version of their slim and lightweight short-scale cult-hero with a maple neck and Tidepool finish. This Duo-Sonic comes with a smaller-than-average alder body coated in high-gloss polyester lacquer to protect it from the elements, while the maple neck and fretboard have a supple satin-gloss finish for speed and comfort. The 24-inch scale length couples with the narrow 42mm nut width to shape that unmistakable Duo Sonic playing sensation.
Loaded with two Duo-Sonic single-coils, this little guitar has masses of flexibility. Bright, transparent chords to solid punch can be delivered via the simple master volume pot, master tone pot and 3-way pickup switch and, since the Duo-Sonic is mounted with a fixed Strat Hardtail bridge with six steel string-saddles, it comes with excellent sustain and solid tuning stability.
First emerging in 1956 and finding its feet in the underground clubs of New York, the Duo Sonic has since become a cult-hero. This highly unique and nonchalantly cool offset retains all the aesthetic design details of the original as well as its sound while, due to its compact build, offers a welcome alternative to more back-breaking and less sensitively shaped standard models.
This product comes with a 3 year manufacturers warranty.
